Here’s my Holosun HE508T-X2 Review
The Holosun HE508T-X2 is the most customizable red dot sight for pistols.
I have the Holosun HS510C for my rifle and love it, so I couldn’t wait to try this one on my handgun.
I was impressed with the upgraded features of the Holsun HE508T-X2 compared to other red dot sights I’ve used in the past.

Glass Clarity & Reticle
The glass on this red dot sight offers a bright, crisp picture.
The lenses are multi-coated, which reduces glare while also producing the best light transmission.
This sight has 12 brightness settings, allowing you to see clearly no matter the time of day. And two of those settings are night-vision compatible!
Unlike most red dot sights, the HE508T-X2 has a multi-reticle system.
You can use the 2 MOA dot, the 32 MOA circle, or have both up simultaneously.
The multiple reticle options give you versatility and help you stay on target while also reducing target acquisition time. However, it’s not quite as fast as the Burris Fastfire 3.
Eye Relief & Eye Box
As with all red dot sights, you’ll get unlimited eye relief.
This offers extra comfort when you’re spending a lot of time shooting.
It has a generous eye box with a wide field of view, allowing you to get on target fast.
Durability & Battery Life
The Holosun HE508T-X2 is ruggedly durable.
It’s housed in titanium and sports some of Holosun’s best technology.
It uses a super LED, high-capacity lithium battery. This battery is top of the line and lasts for 50,000 hours!
With that kind of battery life, you’ll never have to worry about it going out on you when you need it the most, like a home defense situation.
The Shake Awake feature also helps save your battery by automatically turning off the LED when it hasn’t sensed activity in a while and activating it when you need it.
Plus, it has a Solar Failsafe that keeps the red dot sight powered if the battery does end up dying.
Elevation & Windage Knobs
The elevation and windage buttons are 1 MOA click adjustments.
The buttons are a little smaller than I’d like, but fortunately, the HE508T-X2 has a Lock Mode.
This mode was added as an upgrade from the previous model and is well worth the extra cost. It locks the buttons so you can’t accidentally hit them and change your settings.
It was easy to zero and, after using it for over a month, it’s held perfectly.
Even changing up the reticle hasn’t moved it, since each version uses the same LED.
Parallax & Magnification
The Holosun HE508T-X2 red dot gives you 1X magnification, making one of the best pistol red dot.

This red dot sight has parallax-free views, so there’s no adjustment needed.
Mounting & Rings
This sight comes with a Picatinny rail mount and everything you need to get it mounted on your pistol.
You may want to grab some Loctite for the screws

So you use the green due to astigmatism? If so does the reticle bloom heavy? I have an astigmatism and am currently searching for an optic my issue is that eotech and other reticles like the donut of death get super fuzzy and make it difficult to acquire a target
